“INCOMING!”: the picture-in-picture alert in a solo dev’s just-for-fun RTS

"I still think about working on you," wrote Sérgio Rodrigues (@psergiomr) over 28 seconds of an RTS he built on the side: just for fun, no goals, to see if he could figure out the genre alone. The clip opens on a feature many first RTS attempts skip: an "INCOMING!" panel that shows an off-screen event in a live picture-in-picture. The post names no engine and says nothing about AI, so treat the panel as a pattern you can rebuild in any engine. Here's how.
