Aestra: a permadeath pixel RPG built in a weekend, then grown from player feedback
From the OpenDrama Create Wiki
Aestra: The Last Wish is a pixel action RPG on Tesana, credited to houser, where a dead hero stays dead. According to Tesana's post, the first build took a weekend and almost 2,000 players average 3 hours a day in it (figures we could not verify); the builder keeps updating from feedback. Permadeath here stays harsh but fair thanks to three pieces: a rescue window, a rare revive and a death screen that names the killer.
